To use Amy's photographs as the main selling point in her web portfolio & reach more potential clients through organic and local search engine optimization.
EXECUTION
Sometimes, the design process gets underway before we even meet with the client. Such was the case with Amy, who had great insight into how she wanted her web presence represented visually.
To demonstrate her ideas, she directed us to several sites that utilized large-scale photographs to fill the browser window.
Once we had the design figured out, we proceeded to program the site so that it would present Amy’s images to their full capacity – the size of the browser window. The JQuery JavaScript library came in handy here and allowed us to create a slideshow that would display the photographs.
The site is divided into image sections, and each section has its own category. Furthermore, the site is very accommodating for the owner as it is easily updatable.
CASE STUDY
Amy has seen a stream of new clients only weeks after the publication of her new site.
In tandem with her local search engine optimization campaign, Amy's interactive marketing presence has put her first at the top of a long list of photographers marketing themselves in the Portland metro area.
This allows her to choose the projects she works on without fear of her potential client pool drying up. Our site has given Amy the freedom she's always wanted with her business without the fear of losing her income.
CONCLUSION
Amy's site fully displays her work without distraction from navigational graphics or contact information. Visitors can browse her work swiftly in a slideshow presentation based on specific photo categories.
