GOALS
Create a site and blog that displays Dan's work but doesn't overpower it.
EXECUTION
Dan needed a simple site layout that didn't overshadow his illustrations and draw attention away from the work he wanted to present.
With some great layout ideas in mind, Dan set to work on the design of the portfolio site. By taking care of most of the design work, Dan was able to see his vision taking shape.
Unfortunately, he had no idea how to proceed with the blog aspect of the site. Even though he was an experienced blogger, Dan was unable to settle on a satisfactory appearance for the blog.
Much like the overall site, he wanted something that would show off his illustrations but not detract from his artwork. Utilizing a style reminiscent of comic book layouts, we presented a blog design that would allow Dan to show off his work in a professional manner without overpowering it with any one illustration.
CASE STUDY
Dan Selleck was an talented illustrator dwelling in obscurity. We took his illustrations and made them the main focus of his web presence.
Now Dan has been getting a lot of traffic because of our search engine optimization and social networking marketing campaign. We've integrated his Wordpress into his Twitter and Facebook accounts for extra exposure.
Art Directors and Creative Directors alike are falling over eachother to sign Dan up for freelance projects 3 months ahead of time!
CONCLUSION
Dan's web presence now provides a showcase for his work that gives adequate attention to each piece and does not overpower any of his illustrations.
